Renu Singh
Renu Singh is a Vancouver-based freelance writer and editor, who loves to travel around the world, experience amazing concerts, read diverse books and enjoys fine dining and a great glass of wine.
Renu has a Bachelor of Arts degree (History major; English Literature minor) from the University of British Columbia and a Journalism Certificate from Langara College.
She has 6 years experience in the publishing industry, and prior to this, two years experience in the broadcasting industry. Renu worked at Dream House 2007 Publications Inc. for 3 years as Assistant Editor for Dream House Magazine and Homes & Living. She has also written for the Globe & Mail newspaper and Mehfil Magazine, and was a host and reporter for Zindagi TV, an independent, lifestyle television show. Along with writing for Suite101, Renu is currently writing for Business in Vancouver and for independent projects.
Some career highlights include travelling to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Las Vegas and aboard the Rocky Mountaineer during winter – British Columbia is literally the land of a million Christmas trees. Renu is fortunate to have met the Dalai Lama and interview Gene Simmons from KISS; Colin McAllister & Justin Ryan, hosts of HGTV’s Colin and Justin’s Home Heist; actress Gabrielle Miller from Corner Gas; and Bruce Allen of Bruce Allen Talent.
Renu loves to write and is excited to share her knowledge with Suite101 readers. She also aspires to write her first novel in the upcoming year.
